Arnold and his sister Gertrude were living with their grandparents Charles and Maggie at the time of the 1911 census (just after their mother died).

Living at 256 16th Street, Brandon, Manitoba with the rest of the family in the 1921 census.

He is buried in burial block 56A, Lot L123, Section NH.

They got married in Alberta, as it was the only province where one could get married without being resident for at least 7 days (Arnold was stationed in Saskatchewan (for WW2), and Christina was in Brandon, and neither could get 7 days off consecutively to marry in either Saskatchewan or Manitoba).

Met at Brandon, at the mental hospital, where Christina was working as Night Supervisor, and Arnold was working as an attendant, while wanting to be a station engineer.
