She is listed as 10 days old in the 1852 census.

Death date confirmed by Manitoba Vital Statistics death record (lists death place as Pembina). Lists birth date as Feb. 1, 1852. She died at home.

It should be noted that Sarah’s brother Elijah also married Thomas’ sister Mary, and both families moved to Manitoba.

In the 1861 census for Fitzroy, Albert and Sarah Jane are actually marked down as “twins”.

In the June 3, 1916 census, her brother Elijah is shown as staying with them as a laborer.

In the 1921 census, she is listed as widowed (so, it was taken after April), living at her son Edgar’s place, as is her daughter Laura. Both are single at this time.

In the 1926 census, she is living with Edgar’s family only, as Laura had gotten married and moved out by then.
