Herb Storey (1883-1969) was the son of Thomas Storey (1851-1934) and Martha Jane Hunt (1853-1929) who settled in Opakaka district in 1922.

He married Laura Boyle (1890-1960) & they had 2 chosen children, Verna (1927) and John (1929-1949). They moved to Darlingford in 1953.

Verna, a nurse, married Ivan Bishop in 1949 & moved to Winnipeg, and died in 1985. Her son Gregory, 1951, married Janet Van Wynsberghe in 1980. Greg works for Shaw Cable and Janet as mangaer at Centra Gas. They have two children, Stephen (1985) and Christa (1987).

In the 1921 census, she is living on the farm (Section 30, Township 3, Range 7) in Pembina, along with her brother and widowed mother.
