Died in a house fire in Morden, MB. His funeral was at Doyles Funeral Home in Morden. According to the Morden history book, this fire occurred at the Newfeld house, and also killed 5 of the Neufeld sisters. The alarm for the fire brigade went off at 2:30 AM that morning. The house was completely destroyed.
