Thomas Boyle Family tree - and side branches

Notes for Frederick Charles “Fred” STOREY

Cindy (Cynthia) Storey indicates that his biological father might be Charlie Bolton, who was married at least twice (confirmed; see below). Also, a 3rd child (a daughter) may be part of the family as well.

He was brought in for recruitment in WW I on Sep. 24, 1917 (he is listed as a farmer in Chilliwack, birth date July 31, 1894, and single). It mentions that he was offered to serve in a “Branch of His Majesty’s Forces” and was previously rejected for rheumatism. He passed the medical exam as a “Fit A2”, and was assigned to the 1st Depot Battallion in Vancouver,BC on Oct. 2, 1917.

Marriage place verified by BC Vital Statistics record.

A descendant (Marvyl Ginter) says that Fred’s real parents were Charles Boulton and Mary Clara Jane Moyle, and that Mary (known as Clara) died of typhoid fever in October 1894, which is when Fred and Juliette adopted him.

Since the program I am using does not allow linking a child to both adoptive and birth parents, there will be a separate set of entries for the Charles Boulton family.

In the 1921 census, he is living with his father in Chilliwack, BC, a farmer like his father is at the time. There is also a “sister” named Margaret, age 15, that I don’t know who that is.

His death certificate shows that they were living at 208 Courbould Street South at thet time of his death. He was a retired dairy farmer. It says that he had cerebral arteriosclerosis for years, and suffered cerebral thrombosis 10 days before he died.
