Obituary (from the funeral):

“Howard Arthur Boyle was born to Arza and Mary (Rieberger) Boyle on November 22, 1947 in Preeceville, Saskatchewan. He did July 27, 2010 in Yorkton Hospital. He is survived by brother Jim (Carol) of Kamloops, BC, brother Dan (Lil) of Williams Lake, BC, sister Shirley (Jim) Day of Surrey, BC, sister Corinne (Sam) Didluck of Spruce Grove, AB; brother Russell (Judy) of Elbow, SK; sister Judy Stefanyshyn of Edmonton, AB; sister Sandra of Preeceville, SK, sister Anita of Preeceville, SK, brother in law Geroge Holman of Moose Jaw, SK, sister in law Eileen of Preeceville, SK.

Howard was educated in Lintlaw, Preeceville, and Sturgis, SK. From High School he went to University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, SK and then SIAST/Palliser Institute in Moose Jaw, SK. He worked in the mine in Thompson, MB, construction in Regina, SK, plumber’s helper in Edmonton, AB, Preeceville Radio & TV in Preeceville, SK and instructor at SIAST/Palliser Institute, Moose Jaw, SK, until his Program was close in 2007.

Some of Howard’s hobbies included gardening, reading, golfing and football. He was a member of Saskatchewan Wildlife. When he lived Moose Jaw, he did volunteer work in the Festival for Trees, the Warriors Hockey Team, and the Health Foundation Fashion Show. Here at home he volunteered for the Western Days, Mushers Rendezvous, and Rockin’ at the River, and more.

He is predeceased by his parents Arza (1975), Mary (1980), sister Lillian Holman (2002), brother Edgar (2001) and brother in law Ernie Stefanyshyn (2002).

Howard was an uncle 27 times, a great uncle 23 times, and a great great uncle 2 times.”

His funeral was in Preeceville, at the Chapel of Preeceville Funeral Home, on Aug. 2, 2010 at 10 AM. He is to be cremated, with private internment of the ashes.

His active pallbearers were: John Masko, Walter Downs, Jerome Gulka, Dennis Osatuik, Brian Mills and James Prystay.
