From Boyle Bulletin #7:Worked at a lumber camp near Whitney at the age of 13 cutting trails all winter long for $13 a month plus room and board. They would work all winter and not see their families during that time.

From Boyle Bulletin #8 - quiet man, who went north and worked the mines as soon as he was old enough, and did this for years. When he finally came back, he moved to Trenton, ON and bought a taxi business.

1901 census has his birth date as 28 Feb 1883, which is off by a year.

At the time of his wedding, he was listed as a Millman. Witnesses to the wedding were Mrs. D. John of Haileybury, and Mrs. A Craig ofr Haileybury. They were married by J.A. Donnell.

He died of a heart attack.
