Lived in Regina, Saskatchewan as of September 1917 (his Wikipedia entry mentions that he moved their in 1914). He worked as a printer for the Regina Leader-Post at this time. Afterwards, he worked for Commercial Printers for 30 years, and served as the president for the Regina Typographical Union. He served on Regina City Council from 1931 to 1948 (unsuccesfully running for mayor in 1943). He later served as mayor of Regina from 1949 to 1951.
Menzies Place in Regina is named in his honour.
