Enlisted in World War I. Was listed as living in Almonte, ON at the time, with Elizabeth listed as his next of kin (as his mother). His trade was listed as being a printer, and he was not married at the time. He also was listed as having already been in the military, in the 29th regiment as sergeant in Renfrew. It lists him as being 5’7&1/2” tall, with a dark complexion, and brown eyes and hair. Under distinctive marks, it lists “scar over angle Left eye”. He signed up Sep. 7, 1915, and his medical was the following day.

Listed as “Harry” in 1911 census (Almonte,Lanark North, ON).
