From Boyle Bulletin #9 - Was adopted at age 6. She was one of many orphans brought from the streets of London, England in a famous program to alleviate a serious problem of the time. She was originally adopted by the Morrisons of Bancroft, and later by the Boyles.

Living with her parents and 3 youngest brothers in Bangor in the 1921 census (although, she is inexplicably shown as “Gailord” or something to that effect). This census shows her as having immigrated to Canada in 1909.
