Notes for Dorothy Aileen BOYLE

From her obituary in the Saskatoon Star Phoenix, 2005:

Dorothy was born October 30, 1916 on the family farm near Grandora, SK. She attended public school at the area rural school and high school in Vanscoy, SK. On graduation from high school Dorothy attended Bishop’s Hair Studio in Saskatoon earning a diploma in hair styling. While working in Kindersley, Dorothy Boyle met Bernard Keller, they married October 30, 1941. Kindersley became home to Dorothy for the remainder of her life. She was an active member in the community as a charter member of the Kinette Club, UCW, Eastern Star, and a life member of the Kindersley Hospital Auxilary. Dorothy enjoyed her many friends in Kindersley and was always “on the go”. She enjoyed travelling and was always happy accompanying Bernard on trips to GM conventions and holiday trips to various places around the world. She especially enjoyed her frequent trips to California to visit her sister Inez and later her neice Sheila Mount and trips to Ontario visiting her sister, Jean and her family. While her mother and father were still on the farm she spent many summers with her boys visiting them and her brother, Charlie and his family, with all of whom she was always very close.
