There is a Stevens family in the 1881 census for Dufferin,Marquette, MB that has both a Charlotte (spelled without the last ‘e’) and Margaret (spelled Margret), with their ages about right. If this is the family, thenthey are all of Scottish descent, and all born in Ontario except for the youngest son listed (Charles) who was born in Manitoba. The complete family, if this is the right one, is Fenton and Mary (parents, aged 35 for both), daughter Nellie (age 14), daughter Charlotte (age 13), daughter Lillie (age 11), daughter Lida (age 8), daughter Margaret (age 6), son Willard (age 5) and son Charles (age 2).

She is living with her huband Charles in Dufferin, Manitoba, in the 1891 census.
