Her godmother was her aunt, Marianna Marcisz (nee Kasik). Her middle name was spelled “Elisabeth” on her Germany issued birth certificate.

The family bible shows her being born in Mecklenburg. Dryzewitz may have been where she was living at the time of her immigration to Canada.

Martha became a naturalized Canadian citizen on May 14, 1932.

She was confirmed at St. Theresa Church in Lintlaw in July of 1937.
