Worked in the ore refinery at Copper Cliff,ON before moving to Saskatchewan. One of the 1st trustees of the Kenaston school. Also served as councillor of Division 1 in the Rural Municipality of Rosedale.

At the time of his marriage, Alexander was listed as being living in Cache Bay,ON, working in lumbering.

His gravestone in Kenaston is a little hard to read - can’t tell if he was born in 1870 or 1879.

The family appears in the 1906 census for Saskatchewan; Leslie and Hugh both are with the househould. It mentions that Alexander is from Quebec, but I don’t believe that is correct.
