From Boyle Bulletin #16: While born in England, Frank was raised in Uddingston, Scotland, and emigrated to Canada as farm labour. After serving his contract, he went to work for the Toronto Telegram as a newspaper reporter. In 1911, he joined the Cobalt Nugget and started a career as newspaper editor and historian in Northern Ontario. He also retired 3 times from the same paper, the Timmins Press.
