Marilyn is a professional actress, both on stage and on CBC TV. She was born and raised in Regina, SK. She got her BA degree in Drama at the U of S. in Saskatoon in 1951. After working as a stenographer for oil companies for awhile, she moved to Winnipeg in 1960, where she started getting regular work both the CBC TV musical variety programs in the winter, and outdoor musical theatre in the winter. In 1975 she moved to Toronto, doing theatre, television, commercials, film, and some playwriting. In 2006, she moved back to Winnipeg.
