Mona Blackmore passed away in the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Sunday, March 14, 1982, in her 68th year. The daughter of the late Beatrice Foy and John Boyle, Mrs. Blackmore was born in Traemore, ON, on May 15, 1915, and was married on July 5, 1940 to William Foy who predeceased her on July 4, 1950. This marriage was blessed with two sons, William Reid Foy of New Westminster, BC, and Peter Terrence Foy of Warren, ON. She leaves to mourn her husband, Percy Harry Blackmore whom she married December 30, 1956; son William Arthur Blackmore; five grandchildren; and five brothers Harold of Traemore, Phillip and Jack of Golden Lake, ON, Kenneth of Tweed, and Wallace of London. Mrs. Blackmore rested at the Frasier-Morris Funderal hom, Cobden, and the Zummach Funeral Home, Killaloe. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 18, 1982, at the Church of the Ascencsion, Killaloe, with Rev. Wayne Thomas and Rev. Bill Bradley officiating. Pall-bearers were Reid Foy, Peter Foy, Bill Blackmore and Gordon Weston of Ottawa, and Irving Boyle of Golden Lake and Robert Hanniman of Tiverton. Spring internment at St. John’s cemetary, Traemore.
