Notes for Curtis OWENS

Resided in Fitzroy. Name was spelled Curthys in 1901 census (Hochelaga district, Quebec, Saint-Henri sub district, C-26, page 9). Can not find him in either Ontario or Quebec in 1911 census; may have died between 1901-1911, or moved. Since his offspring are listed as being in Vermont, I speculate that they moved to the USA between 1901 and 1911.

After they were married, they lived in Montreal,PQ. At the time of their marriage in Vermont, he was listed as a Steam Fitter. They were married by Rev. Daniel J.O. Sullivan.

He was retired from railroading with CNR at the time of his death, from a sudden heart attack, while (I believe) vacationing in Quechee, Vermont. I gather this from the way his death certificate is listed - “accident”, “Presumably natural causes”, and “Injury occured as Medical Examiner after death and have no other information about him”.
