Spent many of his early years travelling and working around Canada. Live in Caglary, AB and Harris, SK between 1950 and 1956, and then moved to Saskatoon. While in Saskatoon, worked at Arctic Ice (cutting ice blocks out of the South Saskatchewan River), in maintenance at the Sheraton Cavalier hotel, for 16 years for the Saskatchewan Govertnment as maintenance personnelat the Kelsey Institute, retiring in 1975.
