Opseth, Joyce Olive

April 9,1937-April 27, 2009

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Joyce Olive Opseth at the age of 72. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, John and Gladys (Olson), brother Ivar, and infant son, Robert. Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Pius Senger, daughters, Deborah Labrie (Daniel), and Denise Wood (Glenn); sons, David Knudsen and Paul Knudsen (Wendi); and grandchildren, Jacques, Justin, Sandy, Shane, Rebecka, James and Garrett. Joyce lived in Saskatoon for many years and worked as a cashier at City Hall. Her hobbies inlcuded gardening, square dancing, and sewing. More recently she and Pius lkved in Holbein and Shellbrook. Joyce volunteered in many activities over the years. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 704 Adamson Road, Shellbrook, SK, with Pastor Doug Schmirler officiating. Internment will be held at Saron Lutheran Cemetery, Hagen, SK. I lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan. 279-3rd Avenue N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
