1880 census for Grand Forks shows him as a Harness maker, and that he was born around 1848. It also lists his father & mother’s birthplaces as Vermont. His name is spelled Holly.

1900 census for Grand Forks (Minnesota side) shows him being born in September of 1844, and his father as being born in Pennsylvania.

Witnesses to his marriage were Joseph H. Carefoot and Ellenor Wallace, both of Euphrasia.
