Her obituary in the April 2, 1941 Flesherton Advance:”Late Mrs. Susan Stott

Mrs. James Scott died at her home in Delia on Monday, March 3, after a short illness. The deceased lady had been in poor health for some time, being at the advanced age of 83 years, having been born near Flesherton, Ont., in 1857.In the year 1880 she married Mr. James Scott and lived form some time at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. In 1903 her husband came west, and in 1905 Mrs. Scott with the family joined him on teh homestead at Curlew (now Wimborne), 28 miles east of Olds, residing there until 1910, when Mr. Scott having purchased land in the Handhills, the family moved into the Delia district where she remained until her death. She is survived by her husband; one son, Walter, of Delia, on sister, Mrs. Catherine McLeod, of Flesherton, Ont., and brother, Adam Holley, of Berkley, Ont. She was pre-deceased by one daughter and three sons.Funeral services where held in the Interdenominational Sunday School on Wednesday, March 5. Mr. N.J. McEwan officiated, and M (torn) MacDonald presided at the (torn). Hymns sung were: ‘Nearer (torn) to Thee’; ‘Rock of Ages’; and ‘Abide with Me’.Internment followed in the family plot in the Delia cemetery.Pallbearers: Chas. Horsky, Geo. Golds, P Nielsen, Geo Lowe, Peter Thompson, and Martin Julson.Winter’s Funderal Home, Drumheller, had charge of arrangements.--Delia Times.”

The Flesherton Advance for Aug. 6, 1924, mentions that they lived in Alberta at the time (they had come for a visit with James Hopps).

They were still living in Alberta at the time of her brother James’ funeral on May 1, 1940.
