Jacob was a farmer living in Artermesia at the time of his marriage to Mary. Witnesses were a Mr. Henry and Viola Lever both of Markdale.

He was living in Markdale as of his father’s death in January, 1924.

His obituary from the Aug. 10, 1944 Markdale Standard newspaper mentions that while he suffered a stroke on July 26th, his death was still considered “sudden”. It also mentions that his service was done from his home, by Rev. N. Caswell.
