Notes for Dr. William Henry Wallace “Wallace” HOLLEY


All newspaper references below are from the Grand Forks Daily Herald, unless otherwise stated.

There is a reference to a Wallace Holley, graduate of Macalester College and then being a student at the college of medicine at Minnesota State University, in December 25, 1913 newspaper.

The August 15, 1917 paper Mentions the “recently appointed Lieutenant” Wallace Holley was visiting. The August 16 paper says he received a comission as Junior Lieutentant in the hospital corps of the navy.

The September 21, 1919 newspaper mentions Lt. Wallace Holley, US Navy, who has been stationed at the naval hospital in Fort Lyons, Col, for some time, arrived in the city yesterday.

The June 17, 1922 paper also mentions that Dr. Wallace Holley was visiting his mother, Margaret Holley of Dover Avenue, “having just arrived from Philadelphia”.
