TOWNEND, Raymond Leslie

Townend, Raymond Leslie was born at Wadena, Saskatchewan on October 31, 1937 and passed away peacefully at Kootenay Lake Hospital, Nelson, B.C. on Friday, March 2, 2007.

Ray moved to British Columbia in 1965. He is lovingly survived by his brothers: Albert, and Don (Darlene); sisters: Marilyn (Otto Markowski), Margaret (Bob Burgess) and Judy (Al Tessier); and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Harold and Jessie, and infant brother Kenny.

Ray was a pleasant man who like sharing his time with family and friends. He loved gardening and picking huckleberries. Ray enjoyed working at the Balfour Service Station for over 30 years.
