“ALICE EDITH BOWES, 73, of Carleton Place, Ontario, died Tuesday at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A native of Killarney, Manitoba, she was a winter resident of Lakeland for 15 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Free Methodist Church in Carleton Place. She is survived by her husband, Robert M.; three daughters, Carolyn Repass of Dansville, N.Y., Connie Myers of Hamlin, N.Y., and Patsy Ward of Morristown, N.Y.; a son, Paul of Westfield, Pa.; two brothers, Lloyd Cooke of Lakeland and Mervin Cooke of Verona, Ontario; two sisters, Mildred Stonehouse of Carleton Place and Olive Kenny of Toronto, Ontario; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
