Moved to Frog Lake,AB from Melfort,SK in Oct. 1940 to start as a teacher at the Frog Lake Indian Day School. His father left for Frog Lake just before O. and the rest of his family left, but only to help them get settled, before returning to Saskatchewan. (See Frog Lake history book). This town was also the site of the Frog Lake Massacre (part of the Northwest Rebellion in 1885), where 9 people were killed.

O. taught @ Frog Lake for 22 years, and then retired to Elk Point in 1971.
