Notes for Fitz Allen SPRUNG

The Manitou history book states that the family came to Manitoba from Huron County, Ontario in 1896, and originally farmed in the Archibald district before moving to the Middleton district. They moved to their farm in 1900.

They are in Hullett, Ontario in the 1871 census (Fitzallen, his wife Martha Jane, and 1 year old son Morris/Maurice).

In 1901 census, all were listed as of Irish descent. Fitz. is listed as a farmer.

1881 census has the family (with an older brother Morris) living in Goderich,Huron South,ON.

Both 1911 and June 6, 1916 census list his wife as Rosa, born around September 1849. Possibly he had two wives?

Tombstone says he was born 1846.

He died from influenza.
