Notes for John SPRUNG

From the Darlingford Sage II history book:

“John studied Morse code in Toronto, and qualified to be a railway station agent. He worked at Morden and Darlingford, and then went into the lumber and hardware business at Earl Grey and Kerrobert, Saskatchewan. While at Delisle, Saskatchewan in 1912 he operated the Monarch Lumber Company yard.”

John and his wife moved to Saskatchewan in September, 1912, to Landis, where he operated a lumber yard for 42 years. They lived at Landis in the 1916 census. John’s occupation is listed as “agent”.

He retired in May, 1953, and moved back to Darlingford, living on Dufferin Street, which is where John died.
