Was an Orangeman at the lodge in Hanley, Saskatchewan. He and his family moved to the Kenaston area because the sulphur fumes from the mine at Copper Cliff had a damaging effect on Elma’s health.

John, Esther and Margaret are shown in the 1906 census for Saskatchewan.

In the 1911 census, they are in Kenaston.

In the 1916 census, they are Kenaston, and John (age 44) is shown as retired.

The family (John and Esther, with 2 daughters) are shown in Kenaston, Saskatchewan in the 1921 census.
