Her obituary from Winnipeg:”LINDA R. CHRISTIE Linda R. Christie passed away suddenly on Monday, October 2, 2000 at Grace Hospital, Winnipeg. She is survived by her daughter, Lee Christie of Winnipeg; her sister, Nan Christie of Winnipeg; and her brother and his family, Bob Hunt (Ann) of Darlingford, Monica Hunt of Winnipeg and Gareth Hunt of Morden. She was predeceased by her father, Howard Christie of Oakville, in 1946; her stepfather, Les Hunt of Darlingford, in 1993; and her mother, Nora Hunt of Morden, in March, 2000. Lin worked in Winnipeg for a number of years before taking her B.Ed. at the University of Manitoba. She taught Business at the Junior and Senior High levels in Dauphin from 1979. She moved to Winnipeg in 1997 due to ill health. Memorial service will be held Thursday, October 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, R3C 0S6.
