Came on the Stakesby in 1823 (Same ship as Thomas and Henry Boyle). They were from Fermoy, County Cork, Ireland. They originally broke land near Perth, but moved to better land in south Fitzroy in 1841.

They are in Fitzroy in the 1871 census, along with children George, William and MArgaret
