Resided in Artemesia as of Dec. 1927.
From his nephew’s (Elmer Howard) family history:
George settled on a bush farm adjoining that of his father married Maggie Speers, a sister to Uncle Jacob Holley’s wife Jen. They had five children: William, Lawsen, Edgar, Elwood, and Mary. George was a very industrious person, a church worker, an Orangeman, and also a wonderful parent and family man. He never used tobacco or narcotics. He was quite generous. His home was always open to the wayfarer with whom he was willing to share a roof and a cup of tea. George died in his ninety-second year, from the effects of a broken shoulder, on the farm he so dearly loved. I never knew him to be ill until he had his accident.
He and his wife resided in Marengo,SK as of Feb. 1944.
Barb has him being born in 1863.
