Notes for Dennis MCGUEY

His farm was in what is now Algonquin Provincial Park. As quoted from the book “Spirits of the Little Bonnechere”:

“The farm and stopping place of Dennis McGuey was located in a clearing next to the riveron Lot 33, Con 8, Guthrie Township. In 1847 the road crossed to the west side of the river just below McGuey farm. Later, in the McGuey’s time, the road went across the BonnechereRiver at “the bridgedam”, a short distance upstream from the McGuey farm. (from Roderick MacKay’s book, “Spirits of the Little Bonnechere”, pg. 121)”
