Ashley was living in Heathcote at the time of his marriage to Cecelia. He was a farmer. Witnesses were Gerald Wallace of Kimberley, and Estelle McCallan of Heathcote. They were married by W. Marshall. He had been living at his residens since January, 1910.

Resided in Barrie, Ontario in 1930.
