Norman McClain McDuffie, Ph.D. Professor Emeritus Faculty of Medicine, Department of Physiology University of Saskatchewan Norm to so many of his friends and golf companions, Dr. McDuffie to so many students that studied Physiology at the University of Saskatchewan between 1960 and 1999 died peacefully in his sleep March 22, 2009 while on vacation in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Mac brought a colorful larger than life persona to all his endeavors that will be missed by his many friends and colleagues across North America and Brazil. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 50 years (Helen Elizabeth Harris McDuffie) who succumbed to cancer in February 2008 and is survived by four sons and their families. Kevin and Dianne (Nalywayko); Kyle and Sandy (Ahmed); Kathy (Ehman); Kent and Nicola (Howell); Kirk and Tracey (Boyle). Grandchildren: Mya, Ryley, Danica, Joshua, Alex, Zoe, Simon, Anna, Julia, and Sarah. A memorial celebration will be held in the near future in Saskatoon.
