Donald Allen Rayburn 1920 2007 Donald passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 15, 2007, in Palliative Care at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, SK. Don was born December 4, 1920, to Joseph and Margaret Rayburn, on the family farm near Vanscoy, SK. He will be sadly missed by his children, Donnie (Paulette), Leroy (Vi), Linda (Randy Boyle), Brenda (Roger Schindelka); special friend, Ruth Vodden; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews . He was predeceased by his wife, Myrtle in 2000; brother, Hugh; sister, Ruth Glow; and granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Schindelka. Donald spent his life farming in the Vanscoy and Moon Lake districts. He served in the Royal Canadian Airforce during WWII and was a councilor for the R.M. of Corman Park for 23 years. He drove school bus, coached soft ball, loved playing cards and going to old time dances. He always had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held from Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Ave. N., Saskatoon on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 11:00 am. Officiated by Rev. David Moors. Private family interment will take place at Vanscoy Cemetery, Vanscoy, SK. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations can be made to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation (to help purchase the new MRI), 1702 20th St. W., Saskatoon, SK, S7M 0Z9.
