Was living with his parents and siblings in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the 1900 census.

Was living as a lodger in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the time of the 1910 census.

At the time of his marriage to Nellie, he was the president of the Tomahawk Shoe Company.

He registered for service for World War I on September 12, 1918. At the time, he is listed as a “shoe manufacturer”, working for Tomahawk Shoe Company, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.

In the 1920 census, Horace, his wife Nellie, and daughter Carol were living in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.

Cofounded the Freeman Shoe Company with his brother Richard Edgar in 1921, in Beloit, Wisconsin.

In the 1930 census, he is living with family in Beloit, Wisconsin.

There is a record of cruise ship to Hawaii that Horace, Nell and (I presume) his 7 year old daughter Cynthia took to Hawaii on April 4, 1940.

He filled in a registration card for World War II as well, in 1942. He was living in Beloit, and working for the Freeman Shoe Corp.
