Thomas Boyle Family tree - and side branches

Notes for Peter ANDERSON

Tradition in Sweden at the time was to name all children ‘fathers name’son, and ‘fathers name’daughter. The army would assign names to differentiate, and that is where Molberg came in.

They stayed in Sweden. 3 brothers and 1 sister moved to North America, the rest stayed in Sweden.

Lived at Markaryd on a farmstead which had the distinction of providing a shelter for King Gustav II Adolf of Sweden while he was being pursued by the Danes. The potato cellar used for the shelter of the king and his horse is still on the farmstead and has been visited by family members. (From Midale history book)
