Linda Flath

August 5,1922-October 12,2013

Linda was born in New Katazynow,Poland, the fourth child of Martha (nee Frohlick) and Theodor Wolski. She was six years old when they arrive in Canada. She was raised on a farm at Speers, Saskatchewan and on November 4, 1942 she married Adolf Flath of Radisson. They lived on the farm and to their marriage 3 children were blessed. Linda enjoyed raising ducks and geese every summer and growing a garden. In 1978 they moved to Radisson after building a house there. In 1980, Adolf passed away and Linda stayed, making Radisson her home. Her son, Vern, came to live with her until he passed away in May of 2008. She decided to move to Luther Tower in Saskatoon in July. She enjoyed her stay there, meeting many new friends and loving coffee time with them every morning and afternoon in the lounge. She spent many hours crocheting. Her favourite crocheting projects were the baby afghans that were often given away or to be sold at craft sales. She moved to Quality Care in 2012 where she was given more help because her health was failing. She passed away quietly at Saskatoon City Hospital on Saturday, October 12, 2013. She is left to mourn her son, Art (Doreen) Flath of Radisson; daughter Dianne (Don) Connell of Rose Valley; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Herman Wolski; and many nieces and nephews, and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Adolf; son, Vernon; her parents; her sisters, Elsie and Erma; and her brothers, Armin and Erwin. At Linda’s request, there will be no funeral.
