Accoriding to the 1911 census, Robert immigrated from Ireland in 1893. They were living in Cranbrook, British Columbia at the time with their daughter Jessie, and he was working in a sawmill.
In the 1921 census, they are still living in Cranbrook, with their newest daughter, Margaret. Robert is listed as a laborer.
On his death certificate, it says that Robert had been living in BC since 1896, and in Cranbrook since around 1911. He had been a laborer in the lumber industry, but had retired in 1933. He died of coronary heart disease, passing away on a sidewalk in front of an Overwaitea Store (a food store in BC for almost 100 years).
