Notes for James COLTON

According to an article in the May 21, 1953 Ottawa Citizen, James was originally a “successful lumberman in the square lumber days”, but then, around 1893, established a general store in For Coulonge. He was retired by the time of his son George’s wedding to Norma.

Can’t read the date of his death on his tombstone; it’s two digits, the first being a ‘1’, though.
