Notes for Thomas James SOUSTER

In the August 16, 1906 Minnedosa Tribune newspaper, there is this clipping: “The provincial government has appointed Mr. Thos. J. Souster, of Moors Park, to be a provincial constable.”

They moved to the Asquith area in 1907. Tom was a blacksmith as well as a farmer. He and his brother Bill ran a steam outfit.

In the 1921 census, he, Mabel and their family are living in the RM of Loganton, at W3, Section 12, Twp 36, Rg 9. They are next door to his brother William (and his family).

They retired from farming to Saskatoon in 1943.

His headstone in Saskatoon says he was born in 1875.
