Florence was born to Andrew McIver (b 16 Oct 1860 in Cullen Rosshire Scotland) and Johanna Christina Bjurlin (born 25 May 1874 in Varmland Sweden). Her parents married in Lowery MN USA in 1898. They moved to Kamsack where they farmed 8 miles south of Kamsack, where Andrew died on 20 Mar 1941. Her Mom lived to 2 May 1948.

Florence was born in Lowery MN. She worked as a housekeeper for many years prior to marrying Archie Craig. The Craigs, with children Patricia, Charles and Jim lived on a farm south of Pelly for 20 years. They farmed east of Arran for 9 years. When Archie died she moved to Kamsack and lived there between 1970-1984. She worked at Eaglestone Lodge as Asst. Matron and then as Matron for the RCMP until 1983. She lived in Norquay for a time following.
