George was a jeweller living in Guelp at the time of his marriage to Bertha. Witnesses to the wedding were Emil Peguenat of Stratford, and Judith Schwar of Hamilton.

At the time of his son Edward’s birth, he is listed as a jeweler.

George had moved to British Columbia around 1925. He had been a watchmaker by trade his whole life, until he retired in 1940. He passed away from a heart attack.
