At the time of his marriage to Mary, Edgar was a general labourer, living in Comox, BC. Witnesses were Irene B. Carter, and Gertrude Cook (the wedding took place at Gertrude’s house), both of Victoria. S. Cooke was the clergyman.

By the time of his death from complications from stomach cancer (which he had suffered for a year), he was the proprietor of a trucking firm, which he did up until the cancer struck.
