His tombstone says: “Horseman, logger, farmer, born Upergrove, Ontario Pioneer of the Comox Valley”. At the time of his marriage to Victoria, his occupation was listed as Teeming? (Teaming for horses, perhaps?), and he was living in Comox. Witnesses were Joseph Mann (?) and Ella McDonald. They were married by Alexander Tait. The marriage registration does not list where they were married in BC.
