Mabel had moved to British Columbia around 1951, and to Cawston near the beginning of 1954. Around that same time, she started suffering from various inflammations over the course of a month and a half: First tonsilitis, then her kidneys started failing, and then a full heart inflammation. She passed away half a year later.
