Edith graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario with both a Bachelor of Arts and Masters degrees in 1899.

In the wedding announcement from the Edmonton Bulletin, August 28, 1907, it mentions that Edith “wore her mother’s wedding gown of dove gray silk”.
