DAILY SUN NEWS JULY 20, 2005 DONNA MAE HARRIET HICKS Donna Mae Harriet Hicks, 69, of Sunnyside passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at her home surrounded by her loving family. DONNA was born September 15, 1936 in Sidney, Montana, the daughter of Clarence Christian and Catherin (Mocko) Zieske. Donna received her education in Montana. In 1955 she married Troy Platt in Grandview. In 1981 she married Kenneth Hicks in Sunnyside,. Donna was a homemaker and worked as a waitress. SHE ENJOYED family gatherings with children and grandchildren, sewing, yard sales and playing bingo. Donna was a member of the Lutheran Church. SHE IS SURVIVED by her husband, Kenneth Hicks of Sunnyside; four daughters, Cindy Schilperoort and Steve McCloud of Illwaco, Bambi Scates of Washougal, Tory Stubbs of Portland, Oregon and Nikki Platt of Sunnyside and one son Curtis Platt, of Vancouver, one stepdaughter, Konni and husband Ryan Craig, of Millcreek, stepson Shane and wife Tanya Hicks, of Yakima, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Zieske and Darrell (Dez) Zieske both of Sunnyside, Arold (Oz) Zieske of Prosser; two sisters, Alice Stellmach of St. Cloud, Minnesota and Sharon Alexander of Sunnyside. SHE WAS PRECEDED in death by her parents; three brother, Clarence Zieske, Duane (Bud) Zieske and Arland (Whitey) Zieske; and one sister, Marilyn (Metz) Breitling. AT DONNA’S REQUEST there will be no formal funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
